What do you this is the worst punishment ever given to a person?  Well, this video explains in short about the worst punishment in the history......the brazen bull.  It is also known as the bronze bull, Sicilian bull, or bull of Phalaris.  It was a torture and execution device designed in ancient Greece. Perilaus, (or Perillus) of Athens, invented and proposed it to Phalaris, the tyrant of Akragas, Sicily.  The bull was said to be hollow, and made entirely out of bronze, with a door in one side. According to legends, the brazen bull was designed in the form and size of an actual bull, and had an acoustic apparatus, that converted screams into the sound of a bull. The condemned were locked inside the device, and a fire was set under it, heating the metal until the person inside was roasted to death. Wildfires continue to spread in the Greek island of Evia.  More than 2,000 people have been evacuated, with elderly residents carried on to ferries.  Local officials said more help was needed to fight the fires that have destroyed parts of the island.  The EU said it was mobilising one of its biggest responses to tackle the wildfires affecting Greece and a number of other European nations.  Greece and neighbouring Turkey have been battling devastating blazes for nearly two weeks as the region suffers its worst heatwave in decades. The world’s biggest tire graveyard can be found in Kuwait in the Sulaibiya area. Fire is a significant issue at Kuwait's tire graveyard, and numerous fires have been consistently reported over the years. The smoke is being blown away to the direction of the sea, and not inland.  On April 29, 2021, the most recent fire was reported.  This six-acre area holds an estimated seven million tires. This can be well seen from space. Not all of tires are from Kuwait, as neighboring countries are allowed to send their own tire waste to the landfill.  This area holds the record of 53.6°C for the highest temperature in Asia and third highest in the world. Kuwaiti government has a plan to recycle 95% of the tires, and make way for new housing projects.  In 2012, a fire was deliberately set in one of the tire graveyards in Kuwait. Five million tires were burnt in this act of arson.  

Fires in Turkey, began to spread around Manavgat on Wednesday, fanned by strong winds in hot weather.  The death toll from wildfires on Turkey's southern coast, has risen to four, and firefighters were battling blazes for the fourth day after the evacuation of dozens of villages and some hotels.  27 neighbourhoods were evacuated due to the fires in Manavgat.  Three planes, nine drones, 38 helicopters 680 firefighting vehicles and 4,000 personnel, were involved in firefighting efforts.
